Week of March 7, 2009 to March 13, 2009

Welcome to the this week's edition of the EdTechTalk (ETT) Weekly Newsletter! This week the ETT Gang has posted shows live from the CUE Annual Conference (Computer Using Educators) in Palm Springs, CA to conversations about personal learning networks with Dave Cormier and Demetri Orlando. The planning for the first annual Jamboree dedicated to Lee Baber, a beloved community participant, started in earnest. Shows are often posted the week after they take place, so if you are looking for this past week's archives, they will be up soon.

Conversations Show 28 03 08 2009

Lisa recently returned from the Celebration of Teaching and Learning Conference in NYC. She shared her impressions and was joined by Karen Janowski who also attended the conference. The conversation continued in a discussion about creativity and how it is addressed in schools. Do schools kill creativity? Listen to the show to hear the conversation. As always, the chat room was rocking!

EdTechTalk is a community of people interested in the use of technology to improve teaching and learning at all levels of education throughout the world. As a Worldbridges community, it embraces the values of collaboration and inclusiveness. The primary activity of the community is the production of a number of live, interactive webcasts. These programs cover a wide range of topics relating to educational technology. Shows are typically streamed live, and listeners can interact with one another and the show hosts through a text chat. Recordings of the shows are released as podcasts. Participation in the community is encouraged for anyone who has an interest in educational technology. Participation may take many forms, from simply listening to shows produced by the community to more actively working to produce and distribute content for the network.
