Another in our series of virtual staff lounges here at EdTechTalk. This week I'm joined by Jennifer Wagner, Brad Hicks and James Sigler for a discussion about web-based projects and how technology is and can be used in the classroom and for professional development.
This week I'm joined by Paul from Vancouver Island, and again by Jennifer Wagner, of Women of Web 2.0 and Alice Mercer of It's Elementary, and others in the chat room, as we discuss a range of topics in the "virtual staff lounge" including interactive whiteboards, online "netiquette" and what constitutes, "acceptable" and "appropriate" behaviour in online environments.
This week I talk with Arthus about his thoughts on some online and web-based tools and how they might be used in K-12 education.
We discuss Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps and Gmail and issues related to access and use of these tools in Arthus' experience as a high-school student.
