Week of March 27 - April 2, 2010

Welcome to this week's EdTechTalk (ETT) newsletter! Lots of activity in this week prior to the Spring holidays. Of special note, Dave Cormier introduced a new online course he and George Siemens will be offering during April through June. More about their Future of Education course can be found at http://davecormier.com/edblog/2010/03/09/the-future-of-education-a-cours... and http://edfutures.com/

Week of March 20 -26, 2010

Welcome to this week's EdTechTalk (ETT) newsletter! The ETT community continued to produce top rate shows this week. Among the notable was Instructional Design Live on Friday. Maggi Savin Baden from the United Kingdom discussed problem based learning. Last Saturday also saw Carly Shuler talk about innovations in mobile learning with primaries. The K12Online Echo featured Beth Ritter-Guth, who is currently working on geocaching. Kevin Honeycutt also had an event in the virtual world of Second Life.

Week of March 13 - 19, 2010

Welcome to this week's EdTechTalk (ETT) newsletter! It was a great week on EdTechTalk in spite of (or maybe because of) many schools being on Spring Break in the US. This was the week of conversations about building communities of practice particularly in educational settings, and Jennifer Maddrell was the featured personality of the week sharing her doctoral dissertation project and areas of potential exploration on two different shows! EdTech Weekly kicked it off with a lively conversation between Jen and Dave Cormier and an active chat room.

Bonus Edtechtalk Newsletter - service interruptions and community participation

Hi everyone

I'm sending an unauthorized newsletter (I'll probably hear it from the newsletter team) to tell you about why edtechtalk has been a little weird lately (that is, in a technical way). We've been compromised by some irritating folks who apparently want us to be more informed about the pornography scene on the internet.
