RSS - helping me stay sane!
I can use Bloglines to streamline my following of all of the different places I am creating on the web. I added a feed to my Classroom 2.0 Ning as well as a feed to my voicethread, but I am not sure if that will work the way I want it to. I also added Women of Web 2.0 podcasts - this way, I won't have to check my bookmarks to see if there is a new podcast which is what I have been doing up until now. I feel like my RSS feed is really helping to keep me organized in what seems, at times, to be web 2.0 overload.

Featured teacher Matt Montagne
right after my post about Joanne comes my admiration and respect for Matt Montagne. Matt has been working side by side with me since February when I found Matt’s parent group wiki. He has been my support mechanism and all time great host for the Parents as Partners webcast at edtechtalk.com If you watch our presentation at this year’s K12Online conference you will see the knowledge base that Matt has with using web 2.0 tools to connect parents to the classroom.

the format. While these technologies were relatively new last year, they seem to be much more ubiquitous this year and I expect more participation from everyone at the conference. If you are interested in listening to a NEIT2008 preview, check out EdTechTalk with Arvind Grover and Alex Ragone. They were nice enough to have me on as a gues to discuss potential topics. Below are some of the topics I’m interested in this year: Moodle Language Learning Labs (with Covcell or Gong) Site Visit Program (Technology Evaluation similar to NYSAIS

A trip to Open Space!
. Wikipedia describes it as a method of self-organizing that can be applied to gatherings of any size to quickly tackle complex issues. It sounds a bit like FutureSearch, which I’m more familiar with, but definitely something worth knowing about! The EdTechTalk podcast this week featured a conversation about the plans and goals for the NYSAIS event. Plus, this conference is at the beautiful Mohonk Mountain House and you can’t beat that for open space! Sylvia Subscribe to the Generation YES Blog
