19:21:22 Jason Neiffer -> creepy soundtrack :)
19:22:09 dave -> i like the strobe!

19:26:00 Doug -> for stream
19:26:03 jeff -> sorry folks
19:26:12 jeff -> started the wrong streams
19:27:32 JoseR -> It seems to talk down to educators.
19:28:06 JenW -> kathy -- do you have time for backgammon after this???
19:28:12 Durff -> stream in sandbox fols
19:28:17 Durff -> folks
19:28:25 Jason -> there is a second angle here:
19:28:48 Jason -> a lot of people that sell personal finance curriculum resources but they have a VERY heavy pro-business focus....
19:29:03 Jason -> (i teach social studies; we get offered these resources all the time)
19:29:30 Jason -> and where do you teach the art of selling? :)

19:34:53 JohnSchinker -> *grin*
19:35:43 JenW -> Yup -- I met him in Ontario CA last summer
19:36:00 JenW -> he has a heart for educators -- www.innertoob.com is his 1st webpage for interactive podcasts
19:37:20 dave -> you know... we probably shouldn't be broadcasting people's IPs :)
19:37:44 Doug -> point well taken about colour and text to distinguish threads, or authors, as an example
19:39:32 dave -> http://universalusability.com/access_by_design/index.html
19:39:59 dave -> http://www.youtube.com/groups_videos?name=K12
19:40:44 JoseR -> youtube is blocked in our district
19:40:46 sendkathy -> by the way Carter said that crowdabout will be making a special place for educators with increased privacy
19:40:55 Doug -> my usability link http://www.useit.com/
19:41:29 Gary -> It was not blocked on ours (yet). Very surprized about that
19:41:45 sendkathy -> Also there was a guy who has created a portable blog server using a linsys router
19:42:12 alicemercer -> Inappropriate (but funny) videos linked from the K-12 on YouTube
19:42:34 dave -> don't say that too loud Gary
19:42:42 JohnSchinker -> You can also track ISS, shuttle (when it's in orbit) and a bunch of satellites
19:42:54 JoseR -> skycharts are very cool. We don't see too many stars in the city.
19:42:59 jeff -> http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-zefrank18mar18,0,753136.story?coll... http://zefrank.org/
19:47:21 JohnSchinker -> plus we're in yugma here, too, thanks to Jen
19:47:56 JohnSchinker -> Jeff: I don't think you can record if you're not premium
19:48:25 JohnSchinker -> I can't right now
19:48:35 JohnSchinker -> It's grayed out
19:48:40 alicemercer -> Are we still in Yugma?
19:49:12 JohnSchinker -> alice: the session is still there, but we're chatting over here now, I think
19:49:16 Gary -> It's greyed out
19:49:29 cathy e -> It won't let me record
19:49:36 sendkathy -> could you post the yugma address pls
19:50:02 Gary -> No
19:50:11 Doug -> no record here either
19:50:23 jeff -> http://www.yugma.com/app/loading.php?user=&role=0&collsession=107722318
19:50:33 Doug -> gray here too
19:50:34 alicemercer -> Are we thinking about Yugma for future sessions?
19:50:49 jeff -> certainly experimenting to test viability
19:50:54 alicemercer -> http://miketemple123.edublogs.org/
19:51:27 Durff -> i cannot choose record in yugma
19:51:59 alicemercer -> That's interesting info on searchability
19:52:40 alicemercer -> Congratulations
19:54:39 Durff -> it sounds cool
19:54:50 alicemercer -> http://miketemple123.edublogs.org/
19:54:58 Durff -> I know a teen that needs sth
19:55:19 Gary -> From Yugma Hosts have the ability to choose whether or not attendees can visually record their sessions. By default, recording is enabled for the leader only. To enable recording for all attendees, go to "File", choose "Settings" and select the "Recording" tab. With the current version of Yugma, recording is web only (no audio) and the host does not have the ability to record their screen if they are presenting.
19:55:31 Durff -> dome of us may still feel young
19:55:59 sendkathy -> I have to share one more thing...I didn't actually say this but..http://www.jacksonville.com/apnews/stories/031707/D8NU3PQO1.shtml
19:56:00 Doug -> you are only as old as you feel Lisa :)
19:56:27 Durff -> and you too Jeff...I feel two
19:57:00 alicemercer -> http://expertvoices.wikispaces.com/
19:58:59 Durff -> any thing he is not paranoid or unhappy with?
19:59:01 sendkathy -> Has anyone linked to a group via http://www.globalgateway.org.uk/
19:59:08 Jason -> isn't the part of the answer to integrate teh youtube content into your own page?
20:00:19 dave -> jason... are you being reasonable?
20:00:50 Jason -> is this a trick question? :)
20:01:09 alicemercer -> Yeah, my kids see lots of cruddy stuff at home (scary movies, sex movies, etc.) but I can still lose my credential if I show it to them.
20:01:10 Jason -> and what perspective of reasonable?
20:01:30 JohnSchinker -> You can incorporate youtube videos into your own stuff, and that will help, but the content still has to be accessible or it won't work.
20:02:16 Doug -> sounds like the cable bumping into the mic
20:02:46 Doug -> dang headsets
20:02:46 dave -> yeah... probably a trick question
20:03:07 alicemercer -> I noticed that Mike who had the edublog tutorial page used VodPod a lot
20:03:22 dave -> http://www.eff.org/
20:03:43 dave -> http://defectivebydesign.org
20:03:57 alicemercer -> Question for Kathy about fair use
20:05:10 dave -> http://www.goodstorm.com/item/defectivebydesign/badvista_put_vista_where...
20:06:53 Jason -> ...that and the quality seems very low....
20:07:04 sendkathy -> Alice did you want to ask me a question?
20:07:05 alicemercer -> I'm looking at sources of info on fair use for educators http://www.nccei.org/blackboard/copyright.html is what I've found.
20:07:13 Gary -> The sound on Talkshoe was not as good as the stream - it also seemesd to disappear
20:07:22 Doug -> any chance of seeing how Yugma and SL play together?
20:07:26 alicemercer -> And there was a link last week from documentary film makers
20:07:50 alicemercer -> Coke?
20:07:53 Durff -> yugma and SL? Intersting thought
20:08:04 alicemercer -> Are we still on Yugma?
20:08:11 Durff -> EdTechTalk: yes
20:08:17 alicemercer -> More chat there?
20:08:30 JenW -> alice -- different chat -- but yes
20:08:37 Durff -> I left yugma...just too much
20:08:47 JenW -> Hi Lisa -- thanks for posting to my blog

20:11:10 Doug -> beer
20:11:17 JenW -> so what is real voices and what is tpped???
