After listening to your talk with Peter Gow you have enoucraged me to take advantage of joining a listserv in order to learn from other teachers.  Can you suggest a listserv for me to join as a second grade teacher teaching in New Jersey?  Thanks.

You might try the Classroom 2.0 at http://classroom20.ning.com/

Unfortunately, I don't know of a lot of listserv's that would address teaching in second grade. Here's what I got when I googled.  I would suggest Mrs. Durff's suggestion of taking a look at the NING Classroom 2.0 community.  You might also want to search technorati for Second grade posts to see if there are teachers blogging who teach 2nd grade.   To learn more, check out http://www.supportblogging.com.

Hope this helps.  Good luck.

Alex and Arvind, I enjoyed listening to the webcast with guest Peter Gow. I like to hear how others improve communication and connections with other educators  and/or encourage those we work with to join in our virtual communities. It is hard to keep up with the steady stream of information available to us and to keep up with our own communities but it is all worth the time. Thank you for helping me stay up on what all of you are doing with this show! ~Lee Ann
